Social media is supposed to be a place where human beings can connect with other human beings from all parts of the world. Instead, what we’re left with is a bunch of people spreading hate. Trolls are even more rampant than the coronavirus, and it has become their unofficial job to post nasty comments of photos/tweets of celebrities, stars, sportspeople, intellectuals, writers, and even normal folks like you and I.

But why hate? Why use the internet to spread hate when you can use it to binge watch entertaining TV — that too for free?!

Sarabhai v/s Sarabhai on Hotstar

Sarabhai v/s Sarabhai needs no introduction. Seriously. I’m sure by the time I said Sara–you already started cracking up, just thinking of Maya’s sarcastic comments, Monisha’s middle-classness, Rosech’s poetry, Indravadhan’s snarkiness and poor Sahil’s bechara-ness. You can watch their 2017 comeback season on Disney+ Hotstar, for free!

TVF Tripling on TVFPlay

TVF’s Tripling ended up being a big hit for many reasons. First, it’s all-too lovable cast of Manvi Gagroo, Sumeet Vyas and Amol Parashar who were absolutely hilarious as the siblings. Second, the storyline that draws in viewers of all kinds: a siblings roadtrip. One is recently divorced, second is a struggling DJ who’s in trouble with debt collectors, and the third is a soon-to-be royal bride who is also pregnant. The show is quirky and full of love. Highly recommended!

Ashram on MXPlayer

Directed by Prakash Jha, it Ashram is a comment on the people of the society who give powers to a conman to rise to a godly status and then he misuses the same powers by which he was hailed. The show features Bobby deol, Aaditi pohankar, Chan roy saniyal, Darshan kumaar, Anupriya goenka, Tridha choudhury, Tushar pandey and Rajeev Siddharta. Bobby Deol plays the role of a Guru, known by the name of Baba Nirala, who is known to do magic, who has the solution to every problem of mankind and who has the knowledge of every missing woman of the area. And from crime to politics, this veteran Baba soon becomes the Godly man.
Don’t get me wrong — Ashram is not a good show at all — it’s just kitsch entertainment that gets you through the day. Bobby Deol is cringey, but the show does make time run by.
