We just found out that Indian musical composer, S Thaman (who generally works in Telugu and Tamil cinema), is going to compose the music for the Thalapathy’s 65th film! Tamil film actor Vijay–popularly known as Thalapathy (Admiral)–is all set to work with director AR Murugadoss for the fourth time. This will be for a sequel to his 2012 hit film, Thuppakki, available on Hotstar right now. Why are we excited about this?
Because this is Thalapathy’s 65th film! Vijay has consistently given us, the audience, 64 movies over the years that have fine acting, all fantastical dhishoom-dhishoom action shots, and dance numbers like no other. He is loved by millions of fans–not just in the South, or in India alone, but all around the world.
S Thaman has just releaseed fantastic numbers for films Ala Vaikunthapurramloo and Disco Raja. Both soundtracks were well appreciated both commercially and critically. It’s no surprise that Thaman is so musically gifted. His father was a drummer who contributed to 100 films, and his mother was a playback singer herself. Thaman crossed the 100th film mark as a musical director in 2018 itself, with Aravinda Sametha Veera Raghava, and has also composed the theme song for Rohit Shetty’s Simbaa.
Thuppakki was a massive hit back in 2012, and we’re sure that Thuppakki 2 will be even bigger. I mean, it’s directed by Murugadoss, starring Thalapathy Vijay, with music composed by S Thaman.
What could go wrong!
